More than 300 residents joined together on Saturday to celebrate the festive season at RV Homebase.
The annual Christmas gathering was held in the Happy Hour Hut at the Community Centre, with a Christmas-inspired buffet and live entertainment.
RV Homebase resident Derek Johnston said the event was one of the best he had attended.
“It was excellent — the food was good, the company was great and the dancing was great!” Derek said.
“Everyone I spoke to enjoyed themselves, it was just an excellent all-round night.”
The catered event featured a variety of Christmas meats, including turkey and ham, as well as salads, delicious vegetables and yummy Christmas Pudding and delicious Black Forest Pavlova . A bar was also provided for those merry enough to enjoy a champagne, wine or beer.
RV Homebase Village Manager, Kevin Leary, said it was a great time enjoyed by all.
“We have received a fantastic amount of compliments from residents who came along and enjoyed themselves on Saturday night,” Kevin said.
“It was a great opportunity for the entire Village community to get together and celebrate Christmas, as well as meet new neighbours and share a few stories.”
The evening included Christmas lucky door prizes, dancing and a few sing-a-longs.
RV Homebase resident, Shaun Jaques, complimented the team for organising the community event.
“It was a great evening and RV Homebase was very generous with what they supplied, my wife and I were very happy to attend,” Shaun said.
“I think everything was great — the champagne, the music was a lovely and the company was even better.”
